In attempt to write more in 2012

In an attempt to write more blogs in 2012 I have decided that they will be short blurbs. Today is in reference to Mindy Kaling's book that I just finished. It was worth the quick read but found myself skipping over certain parts that seemed to be added in attempt from taking short script and turning it into a book. She did however have some gems that left me laughing out loud on a plane ride and grabbing a pen to underline the quotable section. Here is one such section: "I don't think it should be socially acceptable for people to say they bad with names. No one is bad with names. That is not a real thing. Not knowing people's names is not a neurological condition; it's a choice. You choose to make not learning people's names a priority. It's like saying, 'Hey a disclaimer about me. I'm rude!'" More gems to come soon. Until that time a few pics from my trip.

Make yourself at home sir. Mi plane es su plane.

Quotes and Scriptures to love...

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's no just in some of us; its in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

"Live justly, love mercy, walk humbly with our God." Micah 6:8

"But yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation." Habakkuk 3:18

"The LORD your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17
